She wraps her words around the silence,
hoping they might understand.
A new culture strips her of confidence.
She uses her children to shield her from
participation,
yet she wants so much to learn.
She is a refugee,
we must help her.
She is our hope for the future,
We must teach her.
She gives America
a reason to succeed;
We MUST,
or she will be forced back to War,
where learning is nearly a crime.
