Then and Now

I have been absent from life again.
Like a switch or a plug that forgot to be grounded properly.
I am volatile: sometimes shocking even the air around me.

Absense from Self is destructive:
if you're gone too long, it's difficult to find your way back...
and you become used to the Other - the chaotic abyss.

Yet I am back. I managed to pull myself from yesterday,
and into this moment - Now.
I remember why I left, and shall forget to do so again.

oh my god! I had come to say something to u after reading what u said there on my blog....and now after reading the above lines....i've forgotten what i was saying.....these lines are exactly its been entering that hell and getting out of it.
truly beautiful....probably somebody meditating will understand the true depth of the poem.
i'm gonna save it and keep it with me.

Love it! Are you surprised? I don't know if you will like the why I loved it... I like the prose feel of this passage, and I really think you could modify this and use it as the first paragraph or two in the starting of a short story, novel, or novella... yes, poetry is very real life, very autobiographical, but so is literature. Think about it, and I want to see your other poem!
